WHAT? Aurora over Húsavík? Already?

Yesterday night, August 16, the first northern lights after the darkless arctic summer days could be seen, which must be some kind of a record! On top of that, a full moon brightened the bluish night sky.

If to locals this is not big news, to foreign visitors, instead, it was a huge and unexpected gift and everyone got very excited. The aurora hunting season is officially on!
